The Dawg Hawgs are the spawn of 15 year downhill veteran [how is that even possible] who has taken downhill to the far reach of the globe with Landyachtz' Skate and Explore expeditions and along the way he's left a massive wake of stoke. Having ridden for Hawgs Wheels since their inception he's played a vital role in team and product development and after all the solid work they've cheered him with his own pro-model wheel, after three years of perfecting it... The Dawgs do everything.. i've said that a lot, but these wheels are it.
Firstly, they're 70mm, right in the zone for decent roll speed, grip-progression plus wheel-bite isn't really an issue, usually.
Secondly take the froth-core: a centre-set, fibrefill hub built for even support and decent roll speed, it's slightly larger than the FSU core as to provide better rebound and slide progression [progression refers too the amount of change in grip when a wheel goes from grip to slip, the less change the better and lots of change generally feels 'icy']
Thirdly, the formula - 80a - has been dabbled with for 3 years, finally making it's way to a small wheel that rolls fast and slides so wheel you'll find yourself on torn between standys and handsdown.
Fourthly, the 3mm bevel [about 8º] hugely reduces chunking and unwanted edge tearing, plus a smoother release for those earlier, stickier slides.
