The V Bottom was designed by Skip Frye at G&S back in the late 60's. Most V Bottoms at that time had the Vee coming off the tail. Skip put the Vee forward for increased control in trim. G&S have brought it back, and improved design for modern use while keeping the spirit of Skip's original design intact.
Comes with Gloss & Polish finish & Singlefin box
This was our most progressive design back in the mid 60's. Made famous by Mike Hynson. it's been replicated for today's longboarder who wants the best of the "Old School".
50/50 rails fades into a 60/40 rail in the tail. Belly throughout the bottom for that fun vintage feel. Not too heavy, but heavy enough for a fun and cruisy glide.
This board comes with 3 stringers (1/4" + two 5/8" cedar stringers), double 8oz volan + a 3/4 deck patch on top, and 8oz volan on bottom with a finpatch, a gloss and polish finish, and a single fin box with the fin.
The Teamryder is a performance board that still allows for some tip time. A fun design for waist to overhead high surf.
The eggish round tail allows for some clean and flowy turns. The nose is slightly blunted for that extra little bit of surface area for noseriding. Soft 60/40 rails for speed, and a very suttle edge in the tail keeps the tail in the wave on the turns. Flatter rocker for speed. Slight concave in the nose blends into a flat middle section which keeps the board fast, and allows for some side slippin' to get you out of those tight spots while noseriding. The flat middle area turns into vee in the tail which helps for easier turning without slowing the board down.
It comes with a gloss and polish finish, and a 2+1 fin set up with the fins.
Everything is optional with custom orders.
The Peak Performer is designed for bigger, heavier surf. It is fast and stable on those big swells. It cranks powerful turns, but is still wide enough to noseride. Works best in chest to well overhead high surf.
60/40 rails blends into a nice edge in the tail for speed and for turns. Slight belly just in the nose, fades to a flat bottom, then into vee in the tail. Some extra rocker in the nose for steeper waves and later take offs. The dimensions are pulled in for speed and stablility on big surf. The rounded pintail gives it a clean carvy turn without loosing speed.
The Peak Performer comes with 3 stringers (1/4" + two 1/8" bass stringers with red glue), a gloss and polish finish, and a 2+1 fin setup with fins.
This is Gordon and Smith's bigger wave noserider. It's fast, and holds in well for those big carving cutbacks. A great board for knee to overhead high surf.
60/40 rails for speed, and a tucked edge in the tail keeps the tail in the wave on a big turn. Flatter rocker for speed. Slight concave in the nose blends into a flat middle section which keeps the board fast, and allows for some side slippin' to get you out of those tight spots while noseriding. The middle flat area turns into vee in the tail which helps for easier turning without slowing the board down.
It comes with a gloss and polish finish and single fin box with the fin.
