A typical driving high performance surfboard for clean powerful waves to ten feet. This design derives from earlier work on wing pins and swallows in Hawaiian and South African waters, and developed into the “goodwave” hotdogger that no HB team rider dared to leave home without. The rapid narrowing of the tail through the wing series made it ideal for fitting into barrels from Burleigh Heads to Uluwatu, where TF won the inaugural Om-Bali Pro in 1980, and grooved neatly into smaller surf sessions at the hollow smaller wave spots on the North Shore of Oahu. Speed was retained with front foot concave and classic “spiral” vee.
