Product recall for Thule Rapid Fix point XT Kits

Quality control at Sweden concluded that bolt 8523723002 in some kits does not meet the required safety standards.
Thule has since found out that the sub supplier has delivered the bolt with the wrong hardness. This defect could cause the bolt to possibly break under severe stress.
As a result ThuleSweden has initiated a product recall.

ThuleSweden has informed us that there is a problem with some of the fit kits Thule Rapid Fix point XT launched in 2008.
Quality control at Sweden concluded that bolt 8523723002 in some kits does not meet the required safety standards.
Thule has since found out that the sub supplier has delivered the bolt with the wrong hardness. This defect could cause the bolt to possibly break under severe stress.
As a result ThuleSweden has initiated a product recall.
Thule has initiated an immediate recall of the following components:
Part No’s: TK3050 - TK3061 – TK3066 – TK3068 - TK3069 - TK3077 – TK3080
