The Kekeno is the New Zealand fur seal. It's a tough little creature that loves the waves and loves to explore. It's an excellent swimmer and turns up in the water all about New Zealand. The Paddling Perfection Kekeno kayak proudly takes its name from this robust and hardy seafarer.

The Kekeno kayak is designed with comfort in mind and is perfect for exploring, whether you are taking on the foaming waves of the east coast or the calmer waters of the country's lakes. The Kekeno is ready to handle all the conditions and unpredictable weather.

The Kekeno has a large cockpit for easy entry and features two large compartments ready to take all those items you need for your trip, be it a short daytrip or an overnighter. It's manufactured from composite materials (like all of the Paddling Perfection kayaks), which means better paddling and longer use without the adverse affects of the sun's heat and rays.

The Kekeno is remarkably stable. There is no worry about the kayak tipping over in rough waves or through your onboard movement, making it an ideal kayak for the beginner through to intermediate paddler.

The Kekeno weighs around 21Kg and can be easily lifted and moved about. In fact, its weight is optimal for a sea kayak – it will handle well on the water in all conditions, and on land when transporting.
